I have been a member of Happy Hollow's vegetable subscription (CSA) for 9 years!! I keep coming back because the vegetables are so high quality and I want to buy locally. Happy Hollow is one of the very, very few certified organic vegetable farms in the state. And it's a woman-owned business! Being certified organic requires so much more work, hassle, and cost for the farm. But Liz goes even beyond the organic requirements, and implements soil-building strategies simply because they are the right thing to do to steward the land. Produce is decent but they charged me 25 dollars for THREE heads of broccoli.

For context, I spent 24 dollars on 3 Kansas City strips from the butcher right next to them.

That’s just not okay. It’s broccoli. I feel like they raise their produce prices because the COMO farmers market has a food stamp program that they can take advantage of.

Seriously, why else would you charge 8 dollars a head...
