This is a wonderful hike, about 1.8 miles each way. The hike is decent elevation gain with some rocky patches, but the view is well worth it! At a good hiking pace you can get up and down the 'mountain' in 45 min (many hikers take 1 to 1.5 hrs each way). If you can stand packing a drink or some food, the summit is a great spot to enjoy a snack. My dog used to love this trail (so many good sniffs) and there are a decent amount of spots to pull off and let the hikers with the right of way pass (hikers etiquette is so appreciated)

Decent trail for a short hike. The view is worth it. Listed as moderate but the trail has a lot of rock in it and almost all uphill. Nice 1.7 mile hike from Panorama parking lot. Over 1200 foot elevation gain. Im 53 my daughter 24. I hike and walk about 15 miles a week normally. Took us just over an hour going up, not rushing just enjoying the views. Only about 50 minutes to get down. So about 2.5 hours including a break, snack, and enjoying the view at the top.

Roughly an hours (1.8mi) hike up with plenty of rocks and at an incline. Make sure you wear shoes with strong soles and have lots of water! Otherwise the top boasts fresh, cool air and a pretty view. Dogs are allowed on the hike but they need to be on their leash. Would definitely come back during the Fall when the leaves start to change color!

We started at the Buck ridge trailhead and did the 9.4 mile out and back to Mary's rock. There are a lot of routes to get to Mary's rock and this one was my favorite. The first part of the trail had a nice babbling brook with fun crossings on big rocks. We saw four deer and a rat snake since this trail is much less trafficked than some others in the park. Mary's rock overlook is always beautiful and the falcons that nest near there are cool to watch. The trip up three hours and about 2.5 hrs back but we meandered. Can be done faster if you're fit...
