There are 2 parking lots affiliated to them and both are free to park. When we went there, first one was full and the parking assistant said lot is full, come back later or try different hike. She then said you if your drive a block, you can park on private property for a fee. After spending 2 hours on road to reach there, we decided to park on the private yard for $20, Her yard was pretty much full, We saw more than 10 cars in her yard. (Her lot is located between the 2 official free parking lots). So, we go the main parking lot/ information center and we saw several free spaces. I was quite bummed by that. So, before you pay $20 to them check both the lots and they are within a block to each other.

This is a great hike with rock scrambles that make you work a little. Leave your strollers and high heels at home. There is 2,650' of elevation gain with spectacular views and some eildlife. We saw a small black bear outside the park a long time ago, saw a small ribbon snake today and had a couple say they passed a rattle snake ahead of us a while back. Avoid peak times. The trail and parking lots can get crowded.

This is a very strenuous hike that includes bouldering, scrambling over rocks and steep curves, unprotected edges, and slippery grips. This is for experienced hikers, and beginners will have a tough time. The views on top are all worth the effort, and it will take 6-7 hours to complete the loop.

Awesome hike.

Pros: Hike is worth it. Rangers were helpful and friendly. Top view is awesome.

Cons: The signs on the way back is confusing. Lack of service so definitely download offline map While going to top, you're not sure if you have reached the summit yet or not. Its a but confusing. Wish there were more...
