Unfortunately, we did not have the experience that I think the company would say that they strive for. We had fully paid but then the “world shut down” a couple months before our wedding date in 2020. We were very limited in the number of people we could have attend. It was difficult to come to a compromise with the owners as far as what to do. We were given the option to keep our date or change it, or keep the date for our ceremony and use the venue at another time for the reception. We chose the latter. It was a difficult time to (re)plan a wedding and that’s no one’s fault. However, the owner did not remember where I asked to have the ceremony, though it was discussed beforehand. The space I had requested was not available on our wedding day due to the grass needing to be mowed. Music did not work, so I had no song to walk down the aisle to. On our reception, a few months later, my husband and I basically had to mc everything, though it was discussed ahead of time with the owner that she would do this. I felt like I had both coordinated and ran much of my own wedding/reception. Despite the pandemic being a huge factor, outside of our control, I feel like the other issues are not acceptable of a wedding venue. I was disappointed in our overall experience, I am sorry to say.
I’m response to your reply, you had my personal phone with our music in your hands and could have played it from my phone since the Bluetooth was not working. On the day of the ceremony you yourself said “I would have had that area mowed” when I pointed out there was a misunderstanding in the ceremony location.
I’m glad other have had better...
Read moreWe had the absolute honor of getting married at The Barn at Poplar Springs Farm, and it was everything we prayed for and more. From the moment we arrived to the final send-off, the day was filled with peace, beauty, and joy—and as the bride, I can truly say I wasn’t aware of a single issue the entire time because everything was taken care of!
Laura, the venue owner, and Sandi, our incredible coordinator, went above and beyond to make the day not only seamless but deeply meaningful. They were organized, calm, and so genuinely kind throughout the whole planning process and especially on our wedding day. Their attention to detail and their warm presence allowed us to fully enjoy every moment and be present with each other, our family, and our guests.
What made this place stand out even more was how much it felt like a sacred space—Laura and Sandi both honored and supported our desire to glorify the Lord in our wedding. They made space for reverence, celebration, and worship, and created an atmosphere where we could truly reflect the love of Christ throughout the entire day.
The Barn and the surrounding grounds are naturally stunning, but it’s the people behind it who make it such a wonderful place to be married. We are so grateful and would choose this venue again a thousand times over. If you are looking for a place that is not only beautiful but full of great people and love, The Barn at Poplar Springs Farm is it.

Read moreMy husband and I were married at this venue. I spent weeks searching for the right space for our special day. We looked at the Barn last and it was clear that this was the space for us. It’s so peaceful beautiful and has all the little touches! Laura and her husband are so friendly and personable. She makes the packages for a variety of price points and tailors them to fit your budget. What sets Laura apart from the others is she is there for the bride to make your day stress free find ways to help you have the wedding of your dreams without blowing up the budget at the same time. There are so many little details or signs or services in the packages that are included that you don’t realize save you hundreds of dollars by not doing on your own! She is so easy to work with. When things came up that were unexpected or varied from my original plan she rolled with it and somehow made it seem flawless. Her day of coordinator Glenda is also an absolute must! She keeps you on task and organized! You won’t go wrong with these two I promise! If you need more info about my experience ask Laura for my info I’m happy to answer your questions from a customer standpoint! Picking a venue is the biggest decision after the “yes” in my opinion! I’m sooooo glad I said “Yes” to The Barn at...
