Beautiful natural, social, and historical legacy for our community. The park has fields for soccer, basketball, volleyball, a disk golf course, pond and creek for fishing, a playground, and two large pavilions for events. Different trees accent the layout and landscaping, including a habitat for frogs. A shaded walking path winds through the woods, and replicas of settlers' homes or the covered bridge are photogenic backdrops for prom, a wedding, or graduation day. In a clearing stands an amplifying arena, perfect for concerts on the green. A newer war memorial proudly lists locals who served, and under the American flag is a memorial to the people who brought us to America and the old amusement park. During the Apple Festival, a replica of the Liberty Bell, the old mini-train that's being rebuilt, and a working printing press are on display for the public. Read moreI made my first visit to this impressive park on the first day of spring, Monday, March 20, 2023. There is a scenic creek running through the park and an attractive foot bridge that crosses over it. I checked out the historic old buildings and the fireman's memorial while I was there.
