Not worth a review... Let alone the prices. I really don't want to waste another thought on how disappointing this place is. Save your money and go to a public park and have a nice picnic. Your kids will enjoy that more. It will cost you less. Trying to save someone from making the same overpriced mistake. Their response... Sorry to hear your disappointment. As a working farm with over 20 attractions, our admission must align with the many different costs. My retort... Can you name those 20 attractions? I can understand costs... No doubt, there are hidden costs that must be paid. "Working farms" pay for themselves or, are subsidized when non-profitable. Every Farm is a "working farm". If you grow a crop, you get funded by sale, or by insurances/grants/subsidies. Call it a "profitable farm". A $10 dollar horse/pony ride (mislabeled an attraction) is not your cost. And certainly not an attraction... That vendor paid to be a part of this. You did not just allow them to set up, use your land, your insurance (regardless of whatever posted signs that they have regarding "liability"), and call it even. The food vendors paid to be there. I'm sure it wasn't cheap. You know that your history calls for a ton of foot traffic. Thus, your pricing probably reflected such. They. in turn, have to be profitable to continue. Hence, their inflated prices... It all boils down to who is going to actually be the "Family Friendly" operation and not the price gouging rip-off that leads to negative reviews. I love a great place and will post such when worthy. I will pay good money for good service. I will pay more for quality. Unfortunately for you, I will call B.S when I see/hear it. You'll respond publicly to shill reviews, but i fail to see many public responses to negative ones. I'm not mad... I just won't ever go to your events again. Fool me once.. Just trying to prevent the next "working man" from getting disappointed like I was. I paid $130.00 to ride with my family (of 8) on a tractor ride and walk around for a couple hours. Then you want $20 more for an average pumpkin. Do you not know that the same item at the store (on average) was $6? Of course you did. Four different families will not be going here again. That, in turn leads to future business loss. In which you'll get subsidized for (I'm sure). Great way to...
Read moreI see below, where "Erica" made a very negative comment about this wonderful family run pumpkin patch based on food. She failed to mention that the food trucks ran out of food AT 830PM. They had been there since 9am, and held out after being slammed all day. I actually am the one who organizes, preps, and sends out the trucks. They had an extraordinary amount of walk up ticket sales (this has never happened) and couldn't have even thought to have that many guests enter the park. So, I personally, prepped them for a huge amount of people and they still came over prepared, and were slammed the entire day, causing them to be sold out. This was not intentional.
So giving them a 1 star review, based on the trucks leaving about an hour before closing, is absolutely ridiculous. They are the nicest family, they do a fantastic job with the farm and they do tons of charity events for the community, they do not deserve that review. Which you will see from the other many 5 star reviews they have.
The trucks held out as long as they possibly could, they told them when they sold out, the front gate people were not trying to be malicious. The money you are paying, is for ALL the activities they provide, not the...
Read moreMy husband and I took our 4 year old here tonight because we had never done a corn maze before so we were very excited to come to Conner's A-Maize-Ing Acres. We arrived around 6:15pm and checked in with our mobile tickets. We explored alittle bit of the grounds before heading over to the train tractor pull for our son to ride. After he rode we made our way over to what looked like the entrance to walk to the corn maze. When approaching the gate there were two woman standing looking like they were waiting for something. I was confused what was going on so I asked them where we entered to be able to get to the maze... this was the first time I was informed that you could only get to the maze by tractor pull and that the last group for the night went at 6pm... unless you had a ticket for the haunted trail. While my husband and I would have loved to do it ourselves, our 4 year old is too young to participate. We were INCREDIBLY disappointed that there is no mention of the maze closing to General admission and switching to being the "haunted trail" when buying our tickets. We drove 45 minutes to come to a CORN MAZE and didn't even get to do it. We will not...
