Beautiful area and definitely a place to lose your self in at... I had the unfortunate experience of getting a little lost during my time out with a prior local tonthe area. Seems people from here are so nice that they'll just let you keep goin the wrong way evening they are with you. The thrill of adventure I guess. Aside from walking 6 or more miles around the trails, there was plenty to take in and see. Very serene and secluded. Even with main streets close by. You can walk from north gate all the way to downtown if you can navigate the trailways properly. Stunning cliff and rock face hang outs. Some tall water falls and a decent cave system that'll make you feel like a cast member from the decent films. The caves are closed this time of year to let the bats hibernate and not to transfer bacteria from outside areas into the caves. The bats are susceptible to a disease that makes them have white fungus on their noses. Transferable by clothes or tracking it in via footwear. So if you are able to venture in sometime be mindful to wash clothes or change out of the ones you go in with. No masks required to walk. You'll be in nature so enjoy the fresh air and journey...

Hello everyone, be very careful today I went to Hesa Cascades and we had an attack by some boys from Horriva. From a waterfall. They started attacking us with large rocks, they tried to kill me and my friends. Thank God we were able to escape and protect ourselves from the rocks they threw at us. They weighed 20 and 10 pounds and were 50 feet high. Please be very careful, there were 2 boys who had long hair and were between 16 and 18 years old. I would like to know if the park caretakers could see the security cameras they have because they are going to do it again. And prevent them from killing one or more people. I hope the authorities of Madison County do something before something happens. My friends and I are very scared of what they did against us... I don't know where to go to file a complaint against the people who attacked us... please help us so they can be arrested and they don't make any more attempts on the lives...

Nature is a great way to unplug from the hustle an bustle that our life's at times an where better than here. This is a park with many levels to find your perfect day, be it a simple walk, moderate hike, or advanced trail you'll find it here. There are many pull offs to picnic or catch your breathe and many sights to see. This beautiful park is well kept, safe, secure to my knowledge and trust its staff as well as detailed maps and postings. The family areas are all thru out with small play grounds, swimming pool, grills tables & outdoor pottys. They also offset classes posted on fb often for all ages and for many types of hobbyist. This is a highly recommended 'to do' for anyone be it a solo day or...
