Cole’s Farm and Greenhouses — Attraction in Madison

When we first moved to Madison my wife’s cousin told us Farmer Cole had the best sweet corn on earth. We stopped at the farm, met him, but were told he had sold all the corn picked for the day. We told him about our cousin’s recommendation and then he asked where we lived. He said he drives by there every night on his way to have dinner with a friend. We said goodbye and went home. A couple of hours later there was a knock on our front door, and low and behold there was Farmer Cole with a bunch of corn he gave to us as a housewarming present. I was there today to pick up some flowers before window boxes and containers. They have the new variety of impatience that is resistant to the dusty mildew that was killing them a few years back. Huge variety to choose from in both shade and sun loving flowers. They also have vegetable plants that you can transplant into your garden for a great head start. Later in the season they have a farm stand right on the road. Fantastic corn and tomatoes, as well as squash, peppers, melons and an ever-changing cornucopia of fruits and vegetables throughout the season. Super nice people and reasonably priced. Don't...

Absolutely the best corn in the world. It is restocked with freshly picked corn throughout the day. Bring it right home and eat it. Doesn't get any better unless you peel and eat it in the field without picking it. But don't do that unless they invite you to do that--it is considered bad form...
