Horseshoe Lake — Attraction in Madison

I visited Horseshoe Lake about a month ago while passing through going to a nearby salvage yard. The person I was with knew about this Lake, but I hadn't. So, we went there so I could check it out. I must say it was a beautiful area. The lake was beautiful as well were the surroundings. I didn't get the chance to walk any trails, but at some point, I plan to do so. The part I saw had a built in BBQ grill and a small park. I was told there was another park with a picnic area further down the road. It was not flooded while I was there. I definitely can't wait to check out these trails and what else this area has come spring. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. #Tonetta...

I really like this park open always State Park with boat ramp campgrounds in the summertime plenty of places to park along the lake and go fishing bike trails hiking trails several pavilions and picnic areas can't wait till the campsites are open I'm ready to go camping and it's a great deal the campsites are $8 for the primitive campsites which have a gravel spot you can back into and access to water and then I think they have electric spots for the RVs on the other side I'm not sure how much those are though at any rate it's...

Great little area just inside the Illinois border from Missouri. Lots of area to explore including trails, lake, fishing and camping. Plenty of room to spread out and have space to yourself. A little trailer had bait, tackle and snacks. Plenty of pavilions with picnic tables. Nice to see picnic tables near the lake where you can fish. We only saw one small...
