I went out there with my boys snow tubing and had a lot of fun, however, they shut the hill down 20 minutes early on us. I have been out of town with work for the past few weeks and haven't been able to see my wife and kids so all of us were super excited to get to hang out with each other. We had been looking forward to this event with our scout pack for a couple of weeks and to have it cut short really made my boys upset. I told one of the workers it was only 7:40 and with a little attitude in her voice she quickly replied " nope it's 7:50!" I told her it didn't matter, you still shut it down early, she then just turned around and walked away. I understand if they want to groom the hill but then they could have let us in earlier, don't tell me it's 6-8 then shut us down 20 minutes early. Some proper planning could have prevented this. Maybe a heads up at the time of booking? Maybe post different times? Or maybe, being that it was 7:40, just wait until you close to do the grooming! Either way I'm not...
Read moreHad fun tubing, but do not like the fact that you have to stand while going up the tubing hill on the 'conveyor' belt, it feels unsafe and people could get hurt if they lost their balance. Also I think the tubing hill attendants should have walkie talkies or some way of communicating to one another when the bottom of the hill is all clear of people who just slid down the hill, so like if they would have a couple attendants at the bottom of the hill to communicate with the attendants at the top of the hill to let them know when it would be safe to let the next bunch of people go down the hill. When I was there last weekend, my group and I were walking to the outer side of tubing area to get out of the way of people coming down the hill and someone ran into me and I fell down so hence the idea of the 'all clear' would...
Read moreI still love powder ridge. I first went in 8th grade with the skii club at my middle school in Sartell. I was a skateboarder so the terrain park was where the majority of my time was spent learning to simulate similar yet easier moves. I was lucky enough for my dad to take me and a friend a Wednesday evening or two as it was a much lower price for the lift ticket after 4pm on a certain day as such. The photo is from when I went by myself in 2023, my binding broke at the top of the hill because it was plastic from china. I made it down the hills with 1 boot loose, couldn't turn the board to carve and slow down without becoming off balance or stepping out of the binding so it was too dangerous to ride back up until I replace my bindings, wasted a $40 boot rental only staying a...
