Being from Venice I'm accustomed to longer, much broader shorelines. It was a really condensed area for picnicking, sunbathing, swimming, those who wanted to set up tents. I felt really crowded, pretty much at every turn. However the one caveat, unlike Venice they have paddle boarding and kayaking for rental, or you could bring your own paddle board. For me, the highlight of my experience was kayaking, it was so much fun! You have options on one to two seaters. The rental was $25 an hour. Trust me you can cover alot of area in an hour. They had accessible restrooms and plenty of trash cans. Overall I did have a good time, a great experience. Although a little too crowded and...

A very rocky beach but at low tide, you can walk out quite far to explore the life of many fish, crustaceans, mollusks and other sea creatures among the numerous tide pools here. At the shore line, walk over the tumbled rocks to hunt for moon stones. Not a great place to enter the ocean for a swim. The endless rows of mussels, hard tipped barnacle shells, in addition to plentiful, and painful, sea urchins, make this a hazardous place to get in or out of the water as waves strive to make you stumble or take you off your feet, potentially forcing you to check out the harsh texture of the rocks themselves, as well as the mussels and barnacles. An unpleasant experience is...

This is a bias review simply because I love the beach. I especially loved the little turnout patch of sand I was able to park to enjoy the sunshine, ocean sounds and scenic views. It was peaceful people were friendly and just like I enjoying the waves crashing into the rocks below. The spot isn't that large and that turnout is free parking its literally along the shoreline just keep and eye out for it. If you find this little gem give me a thumbs up. I literally fell asleep in my car unbothered listening to the waves and sea life, oh can't forget the sounds of foreign muscle and import cars occasionally ripping down pch but who am i kidding i loved...

An easy commute from LA, this Yankee was enthralled with the vistas, previously only seen in the movies! Parking was easy, and the beach was wide and clean (it certainly wasn't littered by sea shells, which this easterner thought was interesting). The water was cool and clean, and small whales swam parallel to the shore. We could hear them exhale as they surfaced! We strolled, scarcely able to believe that we were there. It still could have been, but I have pictures. Go.

It’s a very small beach with essentially a parking lot, and lifeguard tower and loads of rocks with a small access down to the water, make sure to watch the water level as you might get stuck or wet without intending so. It’s a very nice and calm place, even with the constant sound of PCH and the Waves crashing.
