Falls Creek Falls – Hidden Gem with a Hanging Bridge Adventure

Falls Creek Falls in Arkansas is a hidden gem that every nature lover and hiker should experience. The trail offers a perfect mix of peaceful forest, moderate terrain, and scenic beauty — but the real highlight for me was the hanging bridge. It adds just the right touch of adventure and makes the hike feel even more special. Crossing it with the sound of the creek below is a moment you won’t forget!

The waterfall at the end is absolutely worth the trek — serene, photogenic, and not overly crowded, which makes it feel like your own little discovery. The trails are well-maintained, and the entire area is perfect for anyone wanting a quiet, refreshing escape...

Beautiful falls and an equally amazing hike to get there. The drive to get to the trailhead was long and winding. Once you get there, you are greeted with tall trees and the lake to the left. There are a couple of trails to take but we opted for the Falls Branch trail. It should also be noted that one of the trails was closed due to hunting activity so be careful and pay attention to the signs if you intend to go on this hike. There are a few steep and technical sections of the trail where having hiking boots would help. The trail was very well maintained and clearly marked. We, unfortunately, did not get to cross the suspension bridge as there was construction...

Beautiful spot!! Water is chilly and in the shade. You park right along the road and there are some steps down to the swimming hole spot. My husband, my 5 yr old daughter, and I jumped off the top just fine. I touched the bottom, but not by much. It was a little low, but we still had so much fun! There was also a rope swing at the top and steps on a tree to climb up to it. There was another tiny little swim spot by the main one, but super shallow. If you walk back up the road some and see a tiny camp area, walk through there and it'll take you to another more secluded swim hole with a rope swing. Definitely recommend! GPS took us...

Nice and beautiful location. The hike in is easy to moderate , with minimal inclines. It is a State Park, so there is a Visitor Center to buy drinks if you didn't bring your own. There is a working bathroom facility at the beginning of the trailhead, and it's dog friendly. As any location in the state, you always have that one jerk that leaves trash behind. I did notice minimal trash like a used diaper, a bag with dog poop, and water bottles left behind. If you bring it in, take it out with you. It says that it closes online at a certain time, but that's inaccurate.
