What a great time that me and my son had at the Dinosaur event that is hosted every year! We took so many pictures and enjoyed the show. The bonus was able to pick some flowers and tulips for our loved ones back home. I gave the experience 3 stars because of a particular event that happened at the end that I wouldn't allow the devil to destroy the fun experience of father and son bonding time, but it sure was an soar eye that I think this establishment should be aware about.
I do not remember the gentleman's name but he was one of the staff members (white, bald headed, glasses who was working by one of the flower fields). I was in one section picking flowers with my son and we noticed the other section had other colors that we would of loved to pick out as well to add to our collection and of course pay since we already gave the $10 deposit. There was two groups of women who was initially in our section and easily walked over to other sections to pick more flowers, I was not too far behind walking with them to the other section until I was stopped by the staff member with him saying loudly "Hey you have to pay for those you cannot walk outta here without paying!" I kindly replied, "sir of course I am going to pay for them I wanted to pick more from the other section" (regardless it's a $10 deposit and you pay the difference depending on how many flowers you've picked). He replies, "No you have to pay for these here and then go to the other section and pay another $10 deposit to pick those flowers. Trust me I am not picking on you." I replied to him, "okay no problem but interesting you let those group of people head over to the other section, but you only approached me." He then replies, "Oh because I didn't see them but I saw you" (mind you as previously stated I was not too far behind them so how does he only see me?).
When he walked away another lady looked at him in disgust because of his lack of decorum when he approached me and that left a sour taste to where I was on the verge of throwing the basket on the ground and just leave but again, I wasn't going to let one person who's racist (another staff at the exit I complained to said he was obviously profiling because he already gave himself away but having to say he wasn't picking on me and I didn't even accuse him of anything during the engagement). It was uncalled for and truly embarrassing because I am a paying customer like everyone else, and no one explained the rules, nor was there any signs so everyone was going from section to section picking flowers/tulips. Yet I was pointed out in a disgusting, cantankerous manner that is not necessary and in front of my child and other families. I was planning to stay longer than I did, but that just turned me off completely and I made sure to explain to my son that no matter who else is having a bad day, you do not have to engage or join them in their misery. I hope this gets addressed and someone like him has better decorum and maybe if that is the rule to have signs and may be inform the other staff members who were standing by the area to also enforce this...

Let me begin by saying: if you ever want to test the limits of your commitment to a plan, just tell a 2½-year-old that you're going to see dinosaurs and flowers on Friday—before checking the weather forecast.
So, there we were: two parents, a 2½-year-old with dino-fever, a 1½-year-old along for the ride, and a steady, soul-soaking rain. Armed with pre-purchased tickets, rain boots, and the kind of optimism only parents of toddlers can muster, we headed to Arrowhead Farms' Dinosaur and Tulip Festival.
We were among the very few brave (read: soaked) souls on the grounds, but every staff member greeted us with warmth and genuine smiles, as if we weren’t dripping our way into an early cold. The dinosaurs were a hit with the kids—because rain or shine, a life-sized T-Rex still roars—and honestly, their enthusiasm made the weather a background character.
Just as we were about to leave and wring ourselves out, we were stopped by someone I believe was one of the owners. She kindly offered us replacement tickets for another day, completely unprompted. We didn’t expect that—after all, we rolled the weather dice and lost—but that gesture was so thoughtful and sincere, it turned a soggy outing into something memorable.
We didn’t stay long, but the kindness, attention to guest experience, and sheer dinosaur dedication left a big impression. We’ll definitely be back (on a sunnier day), and I’ll be more careful about making premature promises to my toddler.
Thank you, Arrowhead Farms, for making our rainy...
Read moreI visited the Arrowhead Farmstead in Manalapan, New Jersey today and had a wonderful time! I got the opportunity to visit this lovely place during the Tulip and Dinosaur season, and highly appreciated the unique combination of these two! I admire how this location combines such different directions of interest with flowers and dinosaurs, creating a creative dynamic for all to enjoy! The Tulips themselves were such a beautiful scene with diversity in the colors, styles, and smells! I got the opportunity to pick a few Tulips, and one of the employees, Trinity, made my picked flowers into an exquisite bouquet! The field was covered in multiple rows, with each row having its very own style of Tulip… I never knew how many different kinds of Tulips there were until my visit. The weather of my visit also made my trip even more perfect; the sunshine and the wind made the flowers blossom into such sublimity. In all aspects of the Arrowhead Farmstead, I am truly inspired and impressed. I respect the staff, maintenance, and effort put into this Farmstead and hope to...
