Cannon Branch Fort — Attraction in Manassas

Nice relaxing place to take a quick walk on a short loop trail. I stop here often on the way home from church and rarely run into another person. Sturdy benches and garbage cans (please use them) are placed here and there along the partially paved trail. It's a historical site of low earthworks which is not obvious to persons who are unfamiliar with foxhole earthworks. There's a very short but pleasant forest walkway to a couple of benches. There's a small lake with a dam with no access allowed to the dam. People fish here occasionally. Most people just seemed to come and sit in their cars eating lunch or resting....

Location is small. If you’re here for the trail, it’s a wavy paved path and then it turns into gravel loop and back onto the paved path you came in from.
