One of a kind experience at the Fritos Del Guacabo! Our kids really enjoyed it, and said, “We want to go back” as we were leaving.

We started at 9:30 and was warmly greeted by Carlos, our guide, right away. We were offered some fresh watermelon 🍉 juice and fresh local fruit, which were delicious. Once everyone arrived, we started our tour. We learned about some best practices of gardening/farming and got to taste and smell numerous herbs and fruit throughout our tour. It was definitely a sensory experience. During the tour, we were offered some “home-made” avocado and mango sorbet. Again, delicious. Soon after, we got to taste some pickled vegetables, sauces, marmalades, and blue chips. We then headed to learn about growing micro-greens, which was fascinating. Lastly, we learned about the goats and got to milk the goat! 🐐 Our kids loved seeing the baby goats, petting the horses, and rabbits.

Of course, we ended our tour with a fabulous lunch. I appreciated that they offered meat and vegetarian options. Our family tried both and enjoyed all of our dishes.

We are grateful to find such a unique experience in Puerto Rico! Carlos was an amazing host and guide and grateful for his knowledge and kindness throughout. Thank you, Fritos Del...

Highly recommend touring Frutos del Guacabo! We had an amazing time! Our guide, Carlos, was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. He walked us through their gardens of edible plants, teaching us about each one and letting us smell/taste them. We learned so much, including some plants we use in our own garden, and really enjoyed tasting plants we'd never tried before. It was a really unique experience! We got to feed the goats and milk one. They were patient with us while we learned what to do. And the food was incredible! We had local fruit at the beginning of the tour, sorbet that was made in house with local fruit during our walk, and a plate of snacks (chips, jam, cheese, edible flowers, pickled vegetables) in the middle of the tour. At the end of the tour, we had an incredible lunch. We went with the vegetarian option, and it was some of the best food we had the entire time we were in Puerto Rico. They were very considerate of my dietary restrictions (no dairy). We had a wonderful time and would go again...

We had the opportunity recently to visit Frutos del Guacabo as a part of a group experience in Puerto Rico. The time here was excellent, informative, and delicious! We received a tour of the grounds where we were shown the herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are raised to support residents and local restaurants.

We were also treated to a three-course meal on-site. The meal was delicious, fresh, and truly excellent.

The last event during our visit was to watch the making of queso fresco (and to taste it!). We were also served a mango gazpacho that was excellent.

If you have an interest in sustainable farming, excellent food, and people who truly have a dedication to their work, then this is a must-visit place in Puerto Rico.

Oh, and there are goats, chickens, turkeys, and other animals around, which made it...

The farm tour was an amazing and memorable experience. Learned so much about milking goats, sustainability, farming, planting, food and their different ongoing projects. Everyone I met who works here is lovely. I was also able to push my 6 month old around in her stroller throughout the tour. Lastly, all the food I ate/drank (fruits, tastings, sorbet, lemonade, passion fruit juice, and a 3 course lunch) was incredibly DELICIOUS. Everyone who visits Puerto Rico needs to visit this farm. Hope to visit in the future to purchase local honey again.

We had an exceptional time at Fritos del Guacabo. Carlos, our tour guide, showed us the many herbs and edible flowers grown. We tasted everything. We visited the greenhouses. We petted and milked the goats. The snack (more like a feast) of locally grown fruits and cheeses was delightful. And the lunch was over the top good. Vegetarian options available. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico.
