What a great little hike in the north of Puerto Rico near the town of Manati. Just off route marker 6.5 there's a small parking lot under the trees. Facing the trail map sign take the trail to the left (imagine 10 o'clock if it were a clock). The trail takes you up and around through pretty easy terrain, about a mile in you'll notice a path on your left that leads to a cliff overlooking the ocean. Absolutely stunning...just watch your step. Continue along the train and you'll come to this amazing beach full of coral formations and coconuts. We actually cracked open a fallen coconut on some sharp rocks and ate fresh coconut right from the husk. One thing to note as you get closer to the beach, There are a bunch of little hermit crabs of all sizes and shapes crawling about so be mindful of the little guys. Continue across the little wooden planks and you'll find yourself in the forest with these huge rock formations and a great photo opportunity. All in all a wonderful hike that's easy even for kids and lots of interesting little side things to see. Just bring water and a granola bar or something as it can...
