Every time I visit Port Orchard, I have to take the seven mile drive over to the Port of Manchester. This little Port offers a spectacular view of the Seattle skyline from across Puget Sound. This trip I went for sunrise. The clouds over Seattle were amazing and then the sun peaked through the clouds with a wonderful display of crepuscular rays. Definitely worth a visit if you are on the Kitsap Peninsula.

We have been using this boat launch all winter, because there’s usually no one there! It’s such a gem. Parking & the day fee is $7. We have a small aluminum boat that we launch & usually take a day trip over to Blake Island. I hesitated writing this because I want to keep it for myself!

Really beautiful area, nice view, especially when camping nearby at Manchester State Park. Boat dock can get a little busy. There's a cute little bar and grill with a curbside pickup window. Also fishing and crabbing are prohibited right now due to biotoxins.

Greetings 👋, This morning at 4 AM I visited the Manchester Boat Launch Ramp. For the last 3 years, the same 2 out of the total 9 each Boat Launch Dock’s solar light fixtures are working! This includes the solar power light fixture on the East End of the boat launch dock. Can we use some of the boat launch fees and property taxes to replace the 7 Solar Power Light Fixtures? I understand that there may be a couple in storage? This is SAFETY issue! There’s not an enough light to see with the existing one and only LED low wattage Parking Pole Light fixture at the front of the boat launch dock. Very dark launching and exiting the water! Please 🙏 Make this happen before someone gets hurt or injured! Also on the boat launch entrance, there’s the beginning of a pot hole development! This is also a...

Apparently the port commission has seen fit to hire a security guard to harass people after sunset. My wife and I ate at Carbon the other night and then wanted to take a walk to see the view iof Seattle across the water. Unfortunately a woman told us that we were not allowed to enter the park after sunset (it was 6:30). I asked her where that was posted and she got very sarcastic, and did her best Vanna White next to the sign that said facilities were closed after sunset. This park has been a go to spot for romantic walks at night for many years but the commissioners have managed to...
