My husband took me to CurATE in Vermont for "linner" on my birthday. The only thing better than the grounds at this establishment and the scenery was the food. Chef prepared us a fresh scallop and creamy corn appetizer that was "to die for" delicious 😋. I had the salmon for lunch, Rick had the ham, tomato and cheese quiche, which, in a word, was YUM. I had the decadent carrot cake for dessert, which they adorned with a birthday candle for me, and Rick had his beloved ice cream, vanilla and strawberry. We also thought the bill at the end was reasonable for this expertly prepared and served food in a beautiful, clean setting. Many thanks to Leila, who was delightful, took perfect care of us, and had us leaving happy. Treat yourself soon to this perfect gem in Southern Vermont. You know...

I truly loved it here. What a unique and wonderful experience. Amazing for all wondrous souls. Parking available on site. Great open outdoor area with so much beauty(nature and art). Indoor museums(exhibit halls) inside park as well. Interesting sculptures throughout park, story telling trails that I truly loved ( especially the " already a butterfly - a meditation story") that takes you into the forest, and shows you what type of plants/ trees your amongst while reading the story as a puzzle. There's gift shops as well. I highly recommend this beautiful location that truly is a journey and an adventure.

Ps: I loved that book so much that my partner went and bought it for me in the Northshire bookstore ( which I highly recommend as well). Ig:...

  • not wheelchair accessible * I spent multiple weeks anticipating my visit home. First, of course to see family, but also to visit the Southern Vermont art center to view my great grandfather’s artwork that made it into the exhibit.

Upon entering the Lower museum and paying the admission fee, I toured the lower level and realized his artwork must be upstairs. I went to the front desk to ask how I access the upstairs and was told that it is not accessible. I wish I was notified prior to entering the exhibit and paying my entry fee. Just common curtesy… hopefully one day this will be addressed and updated. And you may want you adjust your accessibility icon on google maps. Other than that beautiful place that I enjoyed coming to prior...
