Great easy site seeing and a very easy hike on some rocks over viewing the 3 rivers. Stop to see the pictographs on the road side of the hiking path. Watch out for snakes, we saw a harmless snake but still keep an eye out. The high bluff just across the Gallatin river is where Lewis and Clark mapped the surrounding area.

It's a nice 17 site campground with 6 fcfs sites and 11 reservable sites. It's our first time campground hosting and where enjoying it immensely.

Not a fan of state land in montana. I prefer the national forests. But this was a good area to learn to use a fly reel...without getting snagged on anything along the banks. I fished in the Jefferson. The daily use fee is not much... 8$...
