Iron Plow Vineyards — Attraction in Mansfield Township

Had a nice visit this past weekend sampling some wine flights and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We also sampled a cheese/meat platter that complimented the wines. Iron Plow has a nice outdoor seating area that overlooks some of the vineyard and adjacent farm fields. You are also more than welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on lawn areas and among the grape vines. (There are also fire pits located in the lawn area) There is also a semi secluded out door area for private parties/gatherings. The only drawback, due to Covid restrictions was being unable to order at the indoor bar area. That in itself wasn't the issue, but with only one outdoor window area in which to order from the wait at times on a busy weekend 15 to 20 minutes when I was there. We had such a fantastic time at Tremonte's Grand Tasting. From the moment we arrived, Liza and David made us feel like we were longtime friends rather than first-time visitors. Their passion for the vineyard shows up in the wines they are serving. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. They’ve poured their hearts into this place, literally, and it shows in every detail. The tasting itself was top-notch and they have a really lovely variety of wines. The olive oil was amazing and the charcuterie that they served with it was perfect. Overall, this is just a great venue - the vines, the wine, the peaceful countryside and cool vibe makes this a place that I will definitely visit again. Made a reservation two days in advance and we were so excited to go for the first time. Group of 7 we were seated at one of the smallest tables with no umbrella in the heat. To give you a better perspective, a couple of two was seated at a full size table with an umbrella, while 7 of us were crowded around a coffee table about 1ftx2ft. We saw several empty tables and requested to be seated somewhere else. We were told "we did the best" and could not be moved (although several empty tables surrounding us.) Another family requested a seat change and were granted it. We continued to give them another chance and proceeded to order a pitcher, a flight, 7 wine sluhies, and a bottle.
