Nice and quiet this morning. The field trial area is close due to hunting dog training and the use of live ammunition...so heads up, wear some color and don't act like a duck...lol It's cool to see the area used in such a way to promote safe hunting skills bu allowing this type of activity in such trying times with all the concerns towards guns. Hopefully this will not change in the near future, my bicycle ride can wait till tomorrow and I can alter my route...

Hands down one of my favorite places to go. I have been coming here my whole life. Great fishing and lots of great trails to hike. Plenty of wildlife. If you come early in the morning to the boat launch after sunrise you can watch a family of 4 eagles, two adults and two juveniles as they hunt for breakfast. Really great spot to birdwatch. Highly recommend...

The large loop is fun, start 100 feet down paved road on left. Left trail unmarked but blazed after crossing road...
