Went there over the weekend and had a blast! The staff was friendly, the courses were a lot of fun, and the whole area has a ton of shade, which makes it much more pleasant than other ropes courses with much more sun exposure.
If you're new to this course, I highly, highly, highly recommend buying the gloves from the store, or bringing your own. The cables and ropes you'll be grabbing will wreck your hands, especially if you go for the higher difficulty courses.
The harness, zipline, and carabiner they provide are good. I'm about 215 pounds, and the double carabiner setup supported my weight just fine when I fell on the hard courses, so you don't need to worry about falling.
Regarding the courses, there are 5 difficulties: yellow (easiest), green, blue, black, and double black (hardest). The difficulty is primarily guided by how hard the obstacles are to traverse; there wasn't too much correlation between the course and how high/low to the ground it was. One nice thing about the courses is that they all have early-exits, so if you find a course to be too scary or too difficult, you can bail.
When I went, there were two yellow, 3 green, 2 blue, and technically 1 black and 1 double black. However, the black and double black are actually the same course, except the double black has about half-a-dozen more (very difficult) obstacles appended to the end. I was able to do all 8/9 courses within my 3.5 hour timeslot.
The two yellow courses were good, although a little harder than expected. I think any new person should be able to complete them without too much difficulty. There were also a couple parts clearly designed for people under 6 feet.
The three green courses ranged a bit in difficulty. All were fun, but they were also all harder than I expected, and one of them was actually substantially harder than I expected. I think, if you're new, the hardest of the three green courses might stretch you. However, I think most people should be able to do all of them.
The blue courses were extremely fun, probably my favorite. However, they were also quite harder than I expected, and I would only recommend them if you want a fun challenge.
The black course was hard, but the hardest parts were the first 2 obstacles, which were very physical and fatiguing. The rest of it wasn't that bad; I don't think I fell on any of the obstacles. However, I'd only recommend it if you're decently athletic and are comfortable with the blue courses.
The double black extension was very challenging. It's appended after an already-challenging black course, and it's much harder than anything on the black course. There were two obstacles in particular that gave me a lot of trouble: the first one with the looping ropes, and one with triangle-shaped footholds on ropes. The looping ropes took me at least 5 minutes to cross, and it was extremely fatiguing. The triangle-shaped foothold ropes were a bit technical, and I couldn't figure out how to do them, so I instead elected to drag myself with my carabiner, which was also pretty fatiguing. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend the double-black unless you want a challenge AND you're a high-school varsity caliber athlete AND you can do at least 5 pullups, preferably more than 10. For reference, I can do 9 or 10 pullups, and my grip and forearms still got very fatigued.
As a point of comparison, I also went to the Adventure Park in Bridgeport a couple weeks ago as well. Overall, they are very similar. One difference is that the courses here are generally lower to the ground than at Bridgeport, so if you're afraid of heights, then this might be a better course for you. I would also say that the yellow, green, and blue courses here are a bit harder than the corresponding difficulties at Bridgeport. However, the black and double-black courses are easier here than at Bridgeport, so if you want to truly test yourself, you should check out the one in Bridgeport.
Overall, highly recommended, and I hope to go back...
Read moreWent here last night (9/15) for a birthday party that our daughter was attending, and I can't say enough good things! We were concerned (to put it lightly) about how things would be run and our daughter's safety since she has always been nervous to do these type of courses at the indoor trampoline parks. Those concerns were quickly squashed and she instantly took to one of the beginner level courses. The staff especially Eric, Ivy and Marlene were phenomenal!! They were always available and VERY caring and nurturing when our daughter felt "like she couldn't do one part of the course". All 3 immediately came to help and talked her through it very encouragingly. Ivy was quick to go through the course herself to get in position to be right behind her to help while Eric guided her through some ideas verbally from the ground. Marlene was so nice and offered help and guidance to all the kids at every turn! Eric was always around and helped the kids as well, plus he stoked the firepit for the kids to make smores even though the night was about to end. We even watched as they caringly helped another young girl that completely panicked and they needed to climb up and lower her down. Honestly with staff as great as these 3 you never need to look anywhere else if you are up...
Read moreWe went with kids aged 14, 14, 12, and 9. The oldest could do every course by themselves. I had to accompany the youngest two. There are five courses of four degrees of difficulty. We first tried the harder of the two green courses, and it was surprisingly challenging. In two hours the kids each did four courses. Everybody was very happy and had a good workout. There's a lot of climbing, balance, and strength used to complete the courses. This is a great outing, especially for anybody athletic. The equipment is fantastic. You can go at your own pace; no guides needed, unlike other ziplines I've done. There's a very happy feeling to arrive at the top of a zipline and have the roller on your belt. The clip system requires that one of two clips be attached at all times. One clip won't open until the second has been locked to a cable and "tweezled" using a special fitting on the cable. There's no way to make a mistake with the safety clips. The harnesses are as safe as can be. You still need to be careful because if you slam into something or crash into somebody you could get hurt. But falling to the ground...
