Delicato's Family Wines Tasting Room is open for purchases only, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time while you're there! We went there today and it was great to get back inside the tasting room again. They've done some minor redecorating but it is all to the good. Everything is still there just as we left it. In addition to all their great wines the tasting room still has the very well done displays of wine accessories. My wife loves the fashion jewelry and other fashion accessories. Of course, there is still the great selection of wines all at really good prices. Club members get an additional discount on the already well priced wines. I've been a wine club member for years and its been a great experience. It was so nice to be back inside I didn't even miss not tasting. It was a really pleasant visit and a morale booster. Read moreI was surprised that they serve their wines in plastic cups (wine tasting). They only give you 4 options for 4 servings of either reds, whites, sweets and combo. There is no mixing or matching of wines and no more than 4 tastings. After tasting 4 reds I requested whites. I was told it is law that I cannot try more than 4. I wine taste at different vineyards periodically and have never been cut-off at 4 tastings. I offered to pay of course but the male attendant behind the counter was arrogant and snotty about it so I requested a bottle for purchase of the only red I found appealing (the rest were mediocre) and of course he brought me a white wine. I looked at the bottle and informed him that I requested the red. He snootily informed me that He asked me and I confirmed the white. If I was only allowed to try the reds, why would I say white? I will...

I complained to Delicato Family Vineyards about their recent transition to new label style, particularly about their change to natural cork. It seemed to be more difficult to extract. Explicitly, no response was expected. Imagine my surprise when Delicato answered my email and stated that my complaint would be looked into. . . . Me! A non-entity to this company. And I was highly impressed that they would take a strangers grousing to heart and actually look into it. If nothing else, this points to the company standards which must be, indeed, high. My hat is off to Delicato (and Gnarly Head) for their interest in consumer responses concerning their product. Not to mention . . . . their Zinfandel is the best on the market for the price. Believe...
