We attended an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament was held at Legacy Park this weekend, using six of the fields. The park was easy to find, only 5 mins from the Interstate exit and visible when driving South on I-57 from Chicago. Parking was a surprising close walk to fields either from the two lots (North & South ends of the park) or the street parking that runs along East side of the park, connecting the parking lots. The fields are graded well for drainage, all but 1 were in great shape after the many inches of rain the last 1-2 weeks, Good mobile reception (homes across the street), and the best part is the local restaurants in the downtown area that is only 5 minutes away: head to Super Burrito for $5.50 Burritos ($1 more for steak) that are excellent and so big you might consider splitting one. Chile Rellenos and Tamales are also good there. Other restaurants included sit-down American fare, and the usual fast...

What’s not to love about Legacy Park?!?! We stopped by on our way home from the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival. There were plenty of picnic tables to enjoy snacks and trash receptacles to dispose of waste. While it wasn't very warm, the children enjoyed splashing around at the splash pad. It’s not very large nor does it have a lot of features, so I can see this getting busy/crowded on warmer days.

The playground equipment is covered and kept my little ones busy for about 30 minutes before they went back to the splash pad.

The indoor restrooms were clean but smelly. Even the kids commenting on that aspect.

A walking path, array of flowers, and athletic fields also fill the space.

There looks to be an outdoor movie screen for outdoor film viewing with built in seating. That could be fun on a summer night or...

The park is very nice. The splash pad is always a big hit. But the last time we went there was a large family picnic going on. The kids were all filling up water bottles and having a blast. Then the kids started duping it and playing with water on the play ground. My daughter ended up slipping and falling. We ended up leaving because the parents of the party were not keeping the two activities separate and it...

Haven't been to the splash pad yet but the park is awesome. My 1.5 year old played for over an hour. They have unique playground equipment along with rubber mulch. Totally toddler friendly. He loved the roller slide, and so did I if i am being honest. Definitely recommend! There is also a nice big trail perfect for walks.

There's an awesome 3 hole practice course for disc golf. The holes are really short but it's awesome for beginners to practice getting some distance on your drives and then awesome again for intermediate for practicing approach shots from the launch pad. It gets pretty wet/muddy when it rains.
