This place was great. The woman who assisted us was friendly and helpful. It was like talking to a friend. I just wish I had gotten her name. The jewelry, artwork and stones were all reasonably priced and well made. The items were not chincy tourist like pieces. If you love handmade quality pieces at a prices everyone can afford, this is a must stop. If you love jewelry, this is a must stop. If you have an interest in stones, this is a must stop. And if you make jewelry this is a must stop. Other reasons to stop? Photo and painted prints of local places by local artists not to mention metal work made by local artists. Please stop and shop, you won't be disappointed, I promise. I want them to stay open forever so that in my future visits I will be able to go back (Selfish, I know. LOL). Please go here if you visit Terlingua or big bend national park! There's a lovely lil garden outside, and walking in there's lots of fun art, but inside is full of amazing finds. Just about any gemstone you could want, beautiful jewelry of all different aesthetics, fossils, art, and so much more. Stained glass, paintings, and even some traditional art that isn't found many places! There was jewelry pieces that had rutilated quartz, grape agate, splash copper beautiful beading, and just so much. I spent awhile in here looking through everything and wanted to spend all my money, but I had to narrow it down because there was so much good stuff here. It was a good problem to have. Galeria Chisos is an amazing hidden gem in the desert. My boyfriend and I camped in Terlingua for a couple of days, and visiting this shop was one of our highlights! The owner, Bill, was very knowledgeable about crystals and ready to help with any of my questions. There is an amazing variety of crystals and jewelry/gifts involving stones and crystals. They also have local art and metal outdoor decor. However, the crystal selection was the standout in my opinion. I thought the prices were fair and there were some really unique and rare pieces.
