Cameron Recycling — Attraction in Manvel

I've dealt with this yard for almost 20 years. I sell my monel 400 and my monel 500k as well as occasional inconel. Today I was sitting on 20k pounds of aluminum. I wanted to know the grade so I could adjust the price to my customer. I called 2 hours before closing so I could get a sample piece PMI'd. The secretary told me to bring it so I'd know what grade of aluminum I had. When I arrived they flat out refused to shoot it. To top it off, a youngster in the shop assured me of my alloy and what they'd pay for it in a very condescending manner. Upon not being able to appeal to his common sense or the amount of experience he bragged about having, I went into the office. It took less than 5 minutes to verify the alloy but in the face of the ignorant pride and lack of humility, I'm taking this load elsewhere. I hope that employee is worth every penny he...

I come here pretty much every day and am always impressed with our experience. The front office staff is always bery friendly, courteous, and helpful. Santos at the scrap area is a hard worker and is friendly and helpful.When we go into the shop area the guys are awesome! Danny, Hector, and Ritchie are so helpful and friendly. They give us helpful tips and teach us so much, one example would be about the various types of wires. The only negative aspect is the big potholes going from the scale to the back. Hard work cleaning up the farm and collecting all the metal items for recycling. Cameron's gave me a great experience though. As I went to unload the steel stuff a guy came over with a gigantic magnet and picked it all up and cleaned off the trailer and there were so e really heavy items. I was so grateful. Then took the aluminum and other metals in a d the guy there was extra nice also. He showed me how on few items I could easily clean them up and get a much better price. He helped me sort things better also. Was a great experience!
