Went with my daughter and granddaughter for the first time last month. They go every year, it was my first visit. It was fun. I loved the goats. We painted a pumpkin. It was hot but they don’t control the weather, of course. It was kind of pricey as we paid for each thing we did, not a huge deal, but keep it in mind. My real issue was the bees. My five year old grand baby was stung on her hand when she was filling up her necklace with colored sand. I was told there’s no hospital near for miles and no first aid on grounds. This is alarming as there were so many bees. I told a woman working there what happened and she was short with me and laughed that “most people with allergies bring an epi pen”. I know that but what about people who have never been stung before? How would they know if they were allergic? My grand baby was okay, thankfully not allergic which was my concern bc my Mom is deathly allergic to bees. Another customer ran to their vehicle and got a spray for my grand baby to use on the sting. After all of this a person working there did give us some small wipes for stings which I greatly appreciated. Just please be aware of bees. Granddaughter finished her activities and was okay but she was scared of the bees. At least two other children were stung also that I overheard other folks talking about. Owners please get first aid kits on site at each stand, as the hospital is far away and you are absolutely aware of bees on your property. You could be held liable. And that’s not the worst of what could possibly happen. Other than the bees and heat, it was a nice...
Read moreAfter driving almost 2 hours to visit this pumpkin patch, we left impartial. The variety of pumpkins were nice. We were able to get an array of pumpkins in different sizes for about $50. 4 sausage wraps (just a sausage in a tortilla) and 4 drinks for about $25. Kinda pricey there. The flower picking was by far a favorite. The experience was nice, all up until we got into the texas corn maze. We spoke to a attendent prior to coming into the maze who explained the game and rules. Not once did he mention no babies or no strollers. We got into the maze, spent about an hour looking for the signs when a family confronts us while we are walking. The gentleman of the family starts yelling at us to get our babies out of the maze. Our babies were quiet and weren't in anyone's way or buisness. This man starts following us and harassing us through the maze. We call the sweet berry farm phone number and while getting harassed, asked to speak to someone that knew the policy on babies or strollers. The lady we spoke to couldn't give me an answer to whether or not we were in the wrong but also didn't offer any assistance while we got bullied in the maze. We finally hung up the phone and spent the next 30 minutes or so trying to find our way out of the maze while still being followed and yelled at. Sweet berry's approach to the situation was poor. For a farm that was so attentive to little kids picking flowers or folks cutting through mazes.. we were disappointed at the lack to help given...
Read moreWe really enjoyed picking strawberries! Be warned there are bees everywhere, so if you are allergic, bring whatever it is you need in case you’re stung. But my 3 littles and I were fine. They didn’t bother us and we didn’t bother them. The strawberries have been absolutely delicious and there were PLENTY to choose from. We also really enjoyed feeding the goats. The staff at all the front desks were so kind and friendly. Unfortunately the gentleman working the bouncing area for kids needs to find another area to work. There were only maybe 6 other kiddos there total (we went on a slow week day morning), but he acted overwhelmed and crotchety as if he was handling thousands. All our kiddos were in different age groups and had different sections to jump, but since no one was there on the older section, my youngest (6) asked to join his big brother (9) so he wasn’t alone. So we then asked and the older man sighed quite dramatically and curtly said, “I cant do that. My boss said under no circumstances.” Acting like it was just a huge inconvenience he rudely followed it up with, “Fine he can go for now but if even one more kid shows up, he needs to move.” I assume maybe this has something to do with insurance purposes. Which I’m not upset by. We can follow the rules, but one can share them without all the attitude. His overall demeanor made the short 8 minute jump experience that we paid nearly $12 for unenjoyable. Perhaps he was just having a bad day. Everything...
