This is a great dog park if you come alone or there are very few dogs. If you happen to visit when the "regulars" are there with thier small dogs please be advised it is not safe for your small dog. They will not tend to their off leash dogs when you enter the park. We witnessed both newly arrived dog and owner being bullied by a pack of small dogs and one particular belligerent dog owner (of the pack). When he tried to enter the small dog area the newly arrived owner had to pick it up so it would not get injured by out of control aggressive dogs, and simultaneously try not to let any of the offending dogs out whose owners were clueless to thier whereabouts. He was even chastised for NOT following the rules when, in fact, the pack of owners were NOT following the rules. You will be able to spot this group easily since they ignore the pack mentality of thier dogs and just sit oblivious around the picnic table. Too bad that irresponsible dog owners have to ruin such...
Read moreFirst time there today and I will never return. My dog typically goes into the larger dog areas at other parks but today that area had 0 dogs. My dog is within the weight range of the small area so I brought him to the other side as he loves other dogs. He began playing with a small dog and when I noticed he may be a little rough for some other dog parents I decided to go over to monitor my dog. Immediately after I was screamed at by the other dogs owner, who was absolutely out of line as his dog and mine were playing just fine. After I grabbed my dog to leave since he wouldn't stop yelling, he began to complain about me to the others. It was overall a terrible experience and will...
Read moreThis is a fairly large park. There are two sides, one for small dogs, another for large. I mention this because we recently visited a park with a center area for all dogs. There are only two trash receptacles but several dog clean up stations. Plenty of seating and several shaded areas for humans. No toys or equipment for the dogs as is in most other places we've visited. There was a small container tied to the fence with a few toys tucked inside. The humans were polite but mostly stuck to their own well known groups. There's also a walking path that goes around the pond outside the dog park for those humans who want...
