Cody's Farm & Orchard, LLC — Attraction in Marengo

Arrived here at 5:00 to pick a pumpkin and grab some hot cider and donuts. We chose this place out of several others because of the good reviews even though it was over a 30 minute drive from us. We walked up to find that they had stopped the rides to the pumpkin patch for the day. Even though there was a group of people who were there wanting to go. Then we went to the concession stand for cider and they had also closed down. I was really looking forward to this and the whole point for us was to actually pick our own pumpkin. It says on multiple places on the website that they are open until 6pm and nothing about a last call for the patch or anything that I could find. I would understand if it was like 5:45 but it was only 5:00, still an entire hour before closing. Left empty handed and...

We’ve always been going here for strawberry picking because its local to us and their strawberry donuts are very good. I love supporting local businesses but this time around this woman kept going around the field policing people about the strawberries. It made me so uncomfortable and it made the experience unejoyable. Don’t even offer upick if you’re gonna treat your customers like that and i dont know if she was like that to me because i was asian, i hope not! She acted like i was stealing all the strawberries and would talk very passive aggressively. I will be going to a different farm now that has BIGGER strawberries and nicer owners...

Amazing!! We went last year for a wonderful Saturday afternoon. Probably spending 4 hours at least picking apples, playing, and getting lost in the corn maze before lunch in the barn. This year, with our busy schedules, we could only go for a couple hours on Friday evening. It was totally with the hour drive!! All the staff are so friendly and helpful and the apples are crisp and delicious! We were in time for evercrisp and jonamac - so yummy!! I would highly recommend this wonderful farm. Can't wait to go back! (Oh, we didn't get any this time but the pumpkins were VERY REASONABLY priced and all looked great...
