Just like PRADA-Marfa, the Little Reata "Giant" movie murals alongside TX Hwy 90 pop up outta nowhere! Definitely worth pulling over, if only to stomp around on James Dean's hollowed ground. Although, it's best to call the visitor's number and request permission to saunter over yonder for picture taking alongside Jett Rink's dilapidated windmill. I made a uturn to stop and admire Rock Hudson, James Dean, and my mother's twin, Elizabeth Taylor. My mom was incredibly gorgeous. Read moreWe were heading west from Marfa to view the Prada installation (see my 2 star review) when we stumbled upon the Giant Marfa installation on the side of Highway 90. It is huge and beautiful and painted in bright vivid colors. The painting technique makes the images look 3D. There is a solar powered speaker that plays period music that contributes to the scene.
