Giant Marfa Mural - Little Reata Division - Wyatt Ranches — Attraction in Marfa

Just like PRADA-Marfa, the Little Reata "Giant" movie murals alongside TX Hwy 90 pop up outta nowhere! Definitely worth pulling over, if only to stomp around on James Dean's hollowed ground. Although, it's best to call the visitor's number and request permission to saunter over yonder for picture taking alongside Jett Rink's dilapidated windmill. Most impressed by the entire exhibit including the sound system which provides soothing music throughout your visit. My parents took me to Marfa frequently. Now, I continue the tradition of GTM...GONE TO MARFA. I made a uturn to stop and admire Rock Hudson, James Dean, and my mother's twin, Elizabeth Taylor. My mom was incredibly gorgeous. This depiction of Little Reata reminds of a time that some want to forget but you cannot erase history. It is alive in the land. Read the Edna Ferber book, Giant. We were heading west from Marfa to view the Prada installation (see my 2 star review) when we stumbled upon the Giant Marfa installation on the side of Highway 90. It is huge and beautiful and painted in bright vivid colors. The painting technique makes the images look 3D. There is a solar powered speaker that plays period music that contributes to the scene.
