What a beautiful walk we had yesterday at Castalia Quarry Metropark! The address is 8404 SR 101, Castalia, OH. There are many trails to walk. The parking is across the road from the quarry. There are trails there also. The signs have the name & length of each trail. There is a porta potty at the parking lot. The restroom across the street is closed for the season.
Old Crusher Millhouse Trail is a loop that is only 0.3 mile that we walked. However, it had a canopy of trees overheard. There were many wild birds flying, chirping and flying low. We so enjoyed this short trail.

On my next visit, I will be sure to include this park...

There was only a little bit of gain, but in this area of Ohio it's the most you'll get. This would be a cool place for a picnic or riding bikes. The only thing I would say is to be cautious here with your kids. The rim trail doesn't have any guard rails to protect you from the edge. Be responsible and everything will be fine. Truly a...
