It's been a little while since I've visited Blue Springs but I've been there enough times to know I enjoy it. It's a great place to spend time with family, throw a party, or just have a great time in general. I've given it four stars, and not five, because I do wish there was a little more you could do. You can eat, swim and rent paddle boats and floaties, but the other things they have, (a slide and a diving board) are a bit "under par." The slide itself isn't very big people friendly, and was a bit rickety when I saw bigger people, or just adults really, get on it. I hope that maybe sometime in the future a better, maybe safer, and bigger person friendly slide is put in. If not, my experience is still mostly a positive one. The diving board isn't very bad, but I do wish the rules around it were a little more clear. There have been a few times where I've gotten onto the Diving board (as scared as I was) and people in line behind me would start getting on it while I'm still on it and forcing me to jump off before I'm ready. So I wish the rules around that were a little better reinforced. Other than those small things, this is a wonderful place to go, and I can't wait to go back in...
Read moreNice place to get wet in the clear water. There is a covered area to swim with kids. Diving area is good too. There is entry fee including parking for 5 year and older. You can rent kayaks for very less amount onsite to explore the spring. We tool a kayak and went 3 on that for a spin. It also includes the life vest for safety. Though the water is full of algae, we could still see the bottom and fish swimming. I would definitely recommend visiting this place. It is similar to Wakulla but here you can have the kayaks. There are motor boats as well but I am not sure if it was for rent or people have their own boats taken there. Restrooms are clean and there is showers as well outside. You can grab some food and drinks as well there. Staffs are very friendly and helping....
Read moreI do understand that there is a 30 minute wait once thunder is heard, but with a 10% rain forecast, it’s kinda of unreasonable to hold swimming festivities for 4 hours onwards, if it’s just cloudy. We arrived at 9:30, for them to open, and only spent 10 to 20 minutes to swim, and were told to get out of the water, and it’s already 3:00. People came and left, disappointed having to pay for their entry, having to leave because of no pool access.
And with the lifeguards, while waiting, they were quite rude when it came to telling people that the pool was closed. Yelling at us as if we aren’t frustrated enough waiting for 4 hours, and having to pack up and leave.
Today’s trip, Wednesday, July 15 has been extremely unsatisfactory, I would advise going to...
