It's not just a beautiful beach but they're beautiful people and amazing rangers. It's just so happened I lost my phone in the rocks as I was sending down into the beach. The gentleman in the car next to me, david, and the wonderful ranger that happened by working together the three of us were able to get the phone out of the rocks which at first seemed unachievable. Furthermore I saw an amazing Bird perched on a tree that appeared to be a very dark looking hawk maybe a swainson's hawk. I also heard there was a nesting peregrine falcon with two babies. There's also fossiliferous Rock along the cliffs. And sea life amongst the rocks on the shoreline. All in all a great spot to visit if you're going up and down the I5. A shout out of appreciation to our Park Rangers who encounter all sorts of things throughout their work day and still come back the next. Although in terms of a an office view, our State and National Forests...

My new favorite surf & chill spot. Recommend going early in the morning and spending all day here. If you go early you have a better chance at claiming one of the beautiful oases on the beach and skipping out on the long line that begins to form later in the day. Pack a cooler, bring a propane camping grill, & book. It's sometimes chilly and tad windy in the morning, so bring a sweatshirt or light jacket or a wetsuit if you plan to be there early. Once the sun shows its face it's absolutely perfect. You can surf without a wetsuit, take a break when the tide is low, cook up some lunch, read, head back out in the water, then enjoy the sunset. The waves are consistent because it's a rock bottom. And they're spread out so you don't have to wait too long for your turn to catch one. $15 to enter. In the summer you can stay til 10pm. I went in October. During this time, the beach is...

I do not recommend this beach at all. My first and last visit to this beach on 09/16/17 upon first entering this beach I am told by a State Park Ranger in a booth to get in line with a bunch of cars in a dirt road. I do not know what this concept is of waiting in a line of cars on a dirt road to enter a beach is about but this state park beach does not even seem properly designed. Upon entering this beach I am harassed by a civilian individual at my car window who exits his car which is parked off road and does not even work at this state beach park. Do not visit this beach it is not even properly made and access to the beach is horrendous. I am visiting Laguna beach now as parking and access makes complete sense with parking being as...

World famous surfing beach with a long history of churning out waves that peel forever. Drive down and park right at the shoreline, set up your food and blanket, and enjoy a scenic treasure. Get here early, real early, like 6am, to get a spot because a long line develops quickly once the beach reaches capacity. They have showers and restrooms all along the beach and a fire pit here and there. Be careful getting in and out of the water because there are rocks that will roll over your feet when the waves break at the shore. Relax and enjoy one of SoCal's gems.

Great beach. Parking is $15 and there’s usually quite the line but the line moves quickly and it’s usually worth the wait. Little showers and at the end there’s a hose for washing your board! Great surf mostly for long boarding but you’ll see some short boarders on the breakers. Some people bring their RVs and camp. Google can give weird instructions, just follow the road down and you’ll get there.
