As a MNHS site, this was a flop. We couldn't see the actual ruins of the mill or anything like that, but walked the very short path and read the signs. The magic of this location is the access to the Saint Croix river and waterfalls. You have to walk behind the shops (specifically by Nita Mae's Scoop ice cream shop), to get access to the river and to see all the...

Great spot to hike around on the banks of the St. Croix River. The small waterfall coming out from underneath the bridge is worth the hike to check out. If you walk on down towards the St. Croix River, you can get some beautiful views of the river from here. They have some chairs and benches that you can sit at that overlook the river. Its a nice spot...

Absolutely gorgeous place! Been to Marine several times but never done the hike to explore this place. Glad I finally did as it did not disappoint! I heard the town is trying to revamp the place and I really hope they add more history info and clearer walking paths so people don't trample what they are...
