I love this park! I live only 2.5 mi away, so I come here often when the weather is warm enough. On one side of the park you can look out onto the Green Bay of Lake Michigan, enjoying the beat of the waves. On the other side of the park, is a protected cove which includes marshland, beach, lake grass, and multiple kinds of birds and other wildlife. The park has picnic tables and a few benches from which you can enjoy the multiple views. There are also several beaches from which you can swim and enjoy the water. Beware of swimming there, however - I actually witnessed a very tragic incident occur in 2010 on the beach there. Swimmers beware, there is a drop off! It gets very cold there. There are no buoys, so be careful! Stay close to the shore and you'll be fine. That being said, the park itself is beautiful, and although the entryway is a bit flooded right now, I recommend going down the path that leads to the boating docs over by the woods near the beach area.
