The Castle Pub — Attraction in Marion Township

We had a great experience at 1918 Cellars Tasting Room for our anniversary! The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable about the wine selection. Because I am hard of hearing, I rely heavily on lip-reading. My husband asked if they would be willing to lower their masks to talk directly to me, they did and looked at me while speaking so I could more easily understand them. Beautiful castle grounds and winery.

We did the self guided tour and tasted many wines.

The different rooms and areas were in mid transition for the holidays but that was really cool to see.

I can imagine the maze, trains, ponds and grounds would be really fun to visit in the summer but we had a good time.

The wines are from Leelanau cellars but they have a good selection. The Ciders we're the star though.

We stopped here for a break during our self guided tour of the castle and grounds. Tight seating at the bar but comfortable. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Refrigerated charcuterie snacks were self serve. We sampled some great wines and purchased a few bottles to take home.
