I recently had the privilege of visiting the Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple in Morganville, and I must say, it left an indelible mark on my soul. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in an aura of serenity and devotion.
Sanctity and Cleanliness: The temple exudes sanctity. Its pristine cleanliness, even during these challenging times, is commendable. The meticulous organization ensures that devotees can worship without any distractions. The temple authorities have truly set an example for others to follow.
Spiritual Connection: As I stood before the deity, I felt an inexplicable connection. The main shrine dedicated to Guruvaayoorappan (Lord Krishna) radiates divine energy. But that’s not all—the temple houses shrines for other deities too: Lord Siva, Parvati, Ganesha, Subrahmanya, Venkateswara, Sridevi, Bhudevi, Ayyappa, Sri Satyanarayana, and Kalabhairava. Each corner resonates with devotion.
Culinary Delights: The temple canteen deserves a special mention. The food is freshly made, and the flavors transport you to South India. Whether it’s the aromatic sambar or the crispy dosas, every bite feels like a blessing. And the best part? The prices are nominal, making it accessible to everyone.
Celebrations and Gatherings: The temple hall is spacious and well-designed. It’s perfect for weddings, cultural events, and other functions. The positive vibes amplify any celebration held here.
Parking Convenience: Worries about parking? Fear not! The temple offers ample parking space, ensuring a hassle-free visit.
In summary, the Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple is not just a place of worship; it’s a sanctuary for the soul. I wholeheartedly recommend families to bring their loved ones here, seek blessings, and immerse themselves in the divine atmosphere.
May the grace of the Lord shower upon all who visit this sacred...
Read moreSri Guruvaayoorappan Temple is a classic South Indian temple with great architecture, stunning idols of deities with grandiose decoration together with the calm and peaceful vibe inside the temple.
The temple is huge, well maintained and all the Covid precautions are in place. There’s ample of parking space outside.
Once you enter the temple from the side door, there will be a temperature check and after that, you go upstairs where you’d see all the idols. The one clever thing that the people working here have done is that they have installed one entry and exit point so that there’s only one way from start to finish to see all the idols, get blessings, pray and worship once inside. They have arranged this fence type barrier and you follow along throughout, seeing all the magnificent idols at display.
Apart from the beautiful idols, they also do various pooja/ archana for a reasonable price. You can get the details before entering the main floor.
There’s also a canteen located at walking distance from the temple with plenty of food items on the menu. The canteen is run by volunteers (as far as I could tell) and the menu is your typical South Indian styled food items like Dosa, vada, idli and a few more along with beverages like tea and coffee.
We had a few different varieties of dosas, Idli & Vada combo, coffee and kesari. The food on offering was just ok with mild toned down flavors.
The temple has a calming vibe, it’s peaceful and a place for devotees to gather and be one with the divine. A must visit temple if...
Read moreThis is regarding the temple service availed for Hiranya Shradham
I had booked for Hiranya Shradham & the assigned priest was not responding to due to personal emergency & tried reaching temple there was no answer until evening. The night before at 9:30 PM another priest called & he said he will take care of everything ( inspite of the alternate arrangements i have made, priest compelled to come over there) & do it nicely.
The next day, the priest arrived & he finished the whole procedure within 20 mins & rushed very quickly. He couldn't agree to perform pinda pradhanam & I felt very sad. Looks like they are re using the same grocery & offerings over & over again for all the shradhams. The Priest didn't even let me to touch the Swampakam ( offering to the priest). Its a very sad state of experience whoever availing the service in the temple. I'll never again avail any service in this temple. I don't want to name the priest here & as it may have an impact on his career.
Another thing to notice is they do nicely for Brahmins, but for non brahmins they do it rude.
I'm writing this review to help people understand how the temple service are in a bad state, so that they can avoid the bad experience. Also please stop donating to this temple, as its more...
