Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are three falls on the trail. They appear from smallest to largest. The first is very easy to get to and a short hike or walk is more accurate. The only down side to that you can really only see it from the top and itās usually pretty blocked by trees and overgrown.
The second is a slightly more challenging of a hike with a good bit of stairs. The trail is beautiful and shaded so not bad when itās a hotter day. Very beautiful falls and multiple angles to view it.
The final fall is worth the extra effort. A lot of stairs and can be very slick in spots so wear the right shoes. If you have bad knees might not be worth it as the trip back is mostly inclined and those stairs can be brutal.
Overall I recommend this adventure for anyone even with small kids if they can handle stairs and walk. I donāt remember the exact length but takes at least an hour and a half if your stopping and enjoying the views. Would recommend bringing water but you can leave snacks in the car unless your planning on having a meal with a view. No tables to eat at but plenty of places to sit and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery quick hike. 3/4 mile hike out and then another 3/4 mile hike back. Paved path and wooden boardwalk between all 3 of the falls. Seems like you have to walk a million stairs to get to the bottom falls. Not recommended for toddlers unless you can put them in a hiking pack. Also would not recommend this for the elderly who already have balance issues, or those with bad backs and knees. Would recommend packing in fishing pole (would need a license for w.v trout) and fishing the bottom falls.) Very close to the Cranberry Botanical area (6 miles?) Which is also on a boardwalk. Beautiful stretch of Monongahela Forest. Peak hiking would probably be between May and June, if youre into wildflowers...
