East Beach County Park — Attraction in Marrowstone Island

My extended family meets here every year and I don't remember how old I was the first time I was brought to this beach. My only issue is the bathroom facilities! It's a true olden days outhouse. The kind where they dig a hole in the ground and put a box on the top with a door on the front. It's unsanitary and uncomfortable. But the beach itself is awesome! Plus there's a covered area with tables and a fireplace. You can walk in either direction for a mile or more! You can look under rocks for crabs and watch the tide come in during the day. Beautiful beach with spectacular views and interesting geological formations. I have no idea what people are talking about regarding access. We hiked a couple miles out and back.

Sandy expanse at first, and then a rather rocky walk for a lot of it, but completely worth the occasional ankle wobble. I imagine the tide situation played a part in that. Facilities and free parking. Lovely island park....

It's beautiful. And they have a port a John, which is great when your office is your truck sometimes. And if you play Pokemon Go, your dudes stay at that gum a long time.
