I think the best way to describe the wedding day was from the words of my husband: “I feel like we are in a fairy tale”. Looking back on our wedding day, I can confidently say that it was perfect. When we were looking for wedding venues, we wanted something that was cozy and comfortable, elegant, and had a lot to offer. Of the land checked every box. From our first tour, we were amazed by how gorgeous the greenhouse and the property was. We loved all the cozy fire pits, the beautiful gardens, and beautiful greenery. One of the best parts was that the venue catered to everyone. If you enjoy dancing all night, the greenhouse was a perfect place to party for hours. If you prefer to relax and chat with friends, the many bonfire pits were the perfect spot for that. Our guest were able to enjoy the entire night and raved about how beautiful the venue was. When we were planning our wedding day, we wanted a fun and relaxed hangout session and that is exactly what we got. The gorgeous property made decor so easy. The beautiful mulberry tree offered the perfect ceremony spot, with both greenery and shade on the sunny day. The greenery and flowers in the greenhouse allowed us to save on florals, only adding pops off color to accent the gorgeous venue. I think the best comment we heard from our guest was that they felt like they were at a “bridgeton ball”. It was absolutely picture perfect! Everyone we communicated with throughout the planning process was incredibly kind and professional, answering any questions we had and making us feel very special. They were helpful with setting up the little details and making it stress free for us, such as the table set up, the ceremony site, etc. We liked that we had freedom with many options on what we wanted for our meal choice, our speciality drinks, and even the ceremony site. The staff working our reception were so kind and fun, making our guest feel very welcomed and ensuring everyone was having a fun and safe night. When it came to dinner, we loved how everything was farm to table. The food the entire weekend was 10/10, tasting so fresh and like it came from your grandmothers kitchen, absolutely delicious. Of the land was great with ensuring everyones dietary restrictions were accounted for, as-well as allowing us to customize the menu so that it was exactly what we wanted. We also had them cater the rehearsal dinner, which made the night so easy and the family style meal was so delicious and fun. Having the airbnb present on the property was amazing. It was the perfect spot to get ready with all of the bridesmaid. It was perfect that at the end of the night, we did not have to travel far when we were tired from having a great night. Of the Land is the most beautiful jaw dropping wedding venue I have ever been to. We were so happy to have chosen Of The Land for our wedding this past weekend on July 13th. We toured back in December and immediately fell in love with the venue and the staff. Everyone is so laid back and accommodating. We were able to book one of their last weekends for 2024 and I’m so grateful we did! We got access to the venue on Friday afternoon and got to set up the space exactly how we wanted it, and then had access again Sunday after the wedding to take everything down and collect our belongings. I loved having it for the weekend! It is way less stressful and you can enjoy and celebrate the whole weekend. We also got to use the on site Farm Flat air bnb. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night before there and got ready the morning of. It is so nice and easy to have a big place to get ready with a kitchen and nice bathroom, definitely helps take the stress of transportation away too. The day of the wedding was very hot, around 90 degrees with humidity. The ceremony at the mulberry tree was beautiful and cool with the shade, and inside the greenhouse was comfortable, there was a nice breeze and the fans definitely helped! It got cooler as the night went on and our guests really enjoyed walking around, playing cornhole and yard games, and exploring the gardens. Monica and Joe were our day of staff and they went above and beyond in more ways than one. I am so thankful for them, they were so sweet and kind to all of our guests. They checked in with my husband and I and our families multiple times throughout the night. They wanted the wedding to be just as perfect as we did. They helped us with setup and cleanup and made the whole weekend so much more relaxing and enjoyable for us. This is the best garden venue in Michigan. After searching for the right greenhouse venue for awhile we finally stumbled on Of The Land and after our first conversation with Bridgett, we just knew this was the place. She was so personable and welcoming we were really excited to sign without even seeing the venue in person (which was definitely scary) but ended up being totally worth it. We got one of (if not the very) last dates available for 2023: October 28, 2023. We had the single day wedding package (instead of the wedding weekend). There were tons of resources on the wedding website that were super helpful in planning for the day. The team was very responsive answering my myriad of questions up until the wedding day. Another huge reason for choosing Of The Land was their care for the environment. They compost all food scraps, reduce plastic usage and the food was farm-to-table with local ingredients (most from their own farm), which is why we were so happy to go with their catering. Along with the fact that the food was DELICIOUS! The dotty bartenders were quick (we never saw a line at the bar) and for our specialty cocktails prepared a moscow mule and the honey lemonade whiskey which was a huge hit! The staff day of were so helpful and checking in throughout the night to make sure everything was good. We got really lucky and had decent weather and the venue was still so green and lush.
