So lucky to have such a beautiful park in a town this size. Public areas for picnics, some can be reserved, playground equipment at most of them. Beautiful aquatic center, I remember dances on the pool top, hiking trails, concrete trails, horseshoes, fishing,Frisbee golf(?) Beautiful views, perfect for photo opportunities . Well groomed flower beds,a kiddie park like non other, even though some of the old favorites have been replaced with safer playground equipment, for us oldies I still miss the huge old sewer tile ,the rope climb& what we used to call the old whitches cap.Public golf course, tennis courts, several baseball fields.public restrooms through out park, I mean what's not to love. You will have a hard time finding a city maintained park as nice as this one anywhere else. Opportunities to plant trees in honor or memory of someone you love, we actually had one planted for members of our family when relatives come it's so special for them to see. We had a bronze plate the park set on concrete, however when they put in the concrete walking trail, it disappeared. Kinda sad but we know where the tree is, and all the memories from yearly family reunions live on in our hearts. Take some leisure time to see & appreciate how your tax dollars are used ,& enjoy Marshall's beautiful gem of small town luxury...

Read moreThe website rarely works and even when it does it isn't helpful in any way. The information about the shelter houses is all incorrect and most other information is false also. I asked why the shelter house I reserved didn't have playground equipment when it advertises that it does and I was told that it is because the other shelter houses have playground equipment and we could walk over to it, even though those are already reserved by other people. All shelter houses cost the exact same, whether you get just a couple picnic tables or seating for 100 and a playground. The pricing is not appropriate. The board for the Marshall park has never cared about public opinion. They have so many things going wrong here that they won't address. Not just with the shelter houses but every aspect of the park. People who use the park report issues with everything and it is never addressed. It is a park, it isn't that hard to fix the issues. They just won't. How about they do another public survey on what changes need to take place but this time make the survey available...
