I Went bird watching from parking area #4 in mid-August 2022 from 10-12 AM, which is NOT hunting season. I was the only one there, but was still glad to be wearing a neon green shirt as I crept around in the brush. I identified 18 species of birds including a Yellow-throated Vireo (a lifetime first for me), 2 Blue-gray gnatcatchers, 3 Field Sparrows, and 10 or more Indigo Buntings!
