When I went to this wildlife sanctuary I had a great time looking at nature and wildlife. I walked through the field and really took in all the pretty nature. I noticed that there are many different types of birds to see while walking. The field in my picture has some birds nests and is very pretty in the spring/summertime. You can walk down to the lookout near the water to get a full view and smell of the ocean. If you like the sound of birds chirping and pretty scenery I would definitely recommend going to North River Wildlife Sanctuary for a time to get to...

Buildings closed to pandemic, but trails wide open and didn't see anyone else on a weekend that was super busy at the beaches.

Saw a large number of birds. Osprey nesting in the field. Telescope set up to look at them, though recommend bringing your own spotting scope or binoculars, too.

Bring bug spray; mosquitos and ticks are around (July 2020).

Lots of solar panels right at the start of the trail. Two electric vehicle parking spots. Makes a great spot to park and charge while hiking around.

My wife and I were looking for a place to take a walk in the woods. When we stopped by a volunteer came over to us while we were looking at the map gave us the run down of the trails, his favorite "secret" spots and what birds to look out for. We've always said we'll become members and then kind of forget. After our interaction with this amazing volunteer we went on line and we're members before we crossed the road heading toward the water view. Can't wait to see all the Mass...
