When I went to this wildlife sanctuary I had a great time looking at nature and wildlife. I walked through the field and really took in all the pretty nature. I noticed that there are many different types of birds to see while walking. The field in my picture has some birds nests and is very pretty in the spring/summertime. You can walk down to the lookout near the water to get a full view and smell of the ocean. If you like the sound of birds chirping and pretty scenery I would definitely recommend going to North River Wildlife Sanctuary for a time to get to back to nature.

Buildings closed to pandemic, but trails wide open and didn't see anyone else on a weekend that was super busy at the beaches. Saw a large number of birds. Osprey nesting in the field. Telescope set up to look at them, though recommend bringing your own spotting scope or binoculars, too. Bring bug spray; mosquitos and ticks are around (July 2020). Lots of solar panels right at the start of the trail. Two electric vehicle parking spots. Makes a great spot to park and charge while hiking around. Thanks, Mass Audubon, for a great site!

It is 11 am, Oct.25th. My wife and I took today off so we can collect the sticker from this site. We arrived at 10 am and the door was closed. We came back at 11 after some walks and still nobody is here. I am typing this message as I am standing at the entrance to the gift shop. If someone supposed to work here is getting paid for being onsite today, they are an asshole.

I usually show up early in the morning to birdwatch. During the spring and summer, there is an active Osprey nest. If you show up during low tide, when you take the boardwalk to the river front, you can see all kinds of shore birds.
