The Daniel Webster Estate & Heritage Center — Attraction in Marshfield

Was there for my brother's wedding over the weekend. The majority of the wedding was outside. The service, food and house itself were wonderful. However, for a facility located that back in a wooded area offering outdoor service, you would think they would spray for mosquitos. Especially with viruses like EEE and Zika. My son was in a full suit and has well over 50 bites on his back alone. I was a bridesmaid and am covered head to toe. Of course, no one knew it was this bad mosquito wise and it got to the point where one person left the wedding to get cans of bug spray but it was too late, the entire wedding party and guests had been very much eaten alive. My friends had a beautiful summer wedding at the Daniel Webster Estate. The gorgeous, historic house completely set the scene. The porch entrance provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The outdoor space is massive and provides plenty of room for reception activities (cornhole, mobile bar, large tent, outdoor buffet), and the landscaping is beautiful.

This place is gorgeous and accessible!!!! (There’s a ramp all the way to the entrance and it wraps around a little garden ending with handicapped parking).

I wish this place was able to just be open regularly, but they open for monthly teas and other events (let’s support them)!!!
