Martic Township Park — Attraction in Martic Township

This place is great! The name is kinda deceiving, it isn’t really a park, but more like a nature reserve type area. I went with my father, sister, and her boyfriend and we had a great time. We hiked to the stream and omg there was SO MUCH petrified wood. For any fossil hunters out there, this place is a gold mine! (Let’s keep it to ourselves though 😉) If you picked up a random rock from the stream, like 90% chance it’s petrified wood. It’s insane. This is probably a very beautiful park but we made the mistake of going on a 90 degree day in summer. Don't do that. Also, that yellow trail? Basically a steep, straight up climb from the parking lot. And I mean straight up. And then straight back down. To a bridge over a creek that is guarded by angry bees who really don't want you on their bridge. To get away, you have to go BACK UP that steep straight trail and back down, covered in bee stings this time. Saw some ghost pipes, though. Can't say it was worth it. Wishing you better luck. Moderately strenuous trail with some steep climbs and descents over a Ridgeline to the creek below. Trails meanders along the creek and is blazed but you have to be watching. Several creek crossings and only passed one other hiker in the trail today. Needed an hour + to complete the 2.5...
