A lovely day for a hike...i hope to go back soon for the longer part of the trail...Tecumseh!! This trail Low Gap is VERY well marked and kept up. I started out thinking it was nice but a little boring.😐 All that changed as i made my way down into the holler. A little muddy with a few creek crossings. Beautiful rock formations! 😁 Two ways to enter the loop. Plenty of parking.. the main lot was full but there are 2 others nearby.

This has been one of my favorite 10 milers for hiking in Indiana for years. You do have the option to take shorter routes and you will have to trek a few miles on gravel, however, the views more than make up for it. Sweedy Hallow is pristine with nice elevation changes and creek bed trekking. Not friendly for the stroller crowd or those using electric assessibility devices due to stairs and rugged terrain.

Ended up being closer to 12 Miles when I was done hiking this. It was stunning. Loved the variety in terrain. Felt like a different universe around every corner. One second you're hiking thru a riverbed with overhanging rocks and the next you're walking through a forest with towering trees. Amazing.
