One of my favorite places in the world. It has varying terrain for the hiker who really needs to dig in. Wear your muck boots there are many swampy passes and take 2 poles some of the trails can be interesting. There are rattle snakes here also, so move about smart . Keep your eyes peeled for a squatch or two . Visit the urban legends about these woods and see why I love this place so much .

Most of the streams were pretty high so we had to walk through a bunch of water. Nothing too bad but just prepare to have wet feet the whole time. It actually felt pretty good later on in the hike. Length: 10.4 miles. Elevation gain: 1,099 feet. Total time: 4:54. Average pace: 26:17.

It's a beautiful trail. Lots of mushrooms and birds along the way. Some of the trail was pretty muddy and there are lots of ticks, but that's pretty normal for this area. You can stop at the Stepp Cemetery just off the trail. Will be back to hike this trail again.

Beautiful, out of the way park, although it is close to Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Martinsville. Easy to get to from I-69. Lots of trails and land features to explore, including a couple of lakes, caves, etc. the Tecumseh trail runs through the park. Also, excellent primitive camping abounds, as well as spots...
