Wonderful location for a nice nature stroll with your pup. The trails are also great for running and biking. There are a few trails to choose from that all offer their own unique beauty. There are 25, 40, and 60+ minute walking trails. They also have expansive green areas to picnic on. They occasionally have animals at the barn such as goats, pigs, etc. They also have a chicken coop.

Aside from that, there are many wild animals as well. I’ve seen several foxes, raccoons, deer, bald eagles and hawks during my walks. I even saw a turkey once!

It is great to see my tax dollars maintaining this great asset for...

Great programs given here. University of Maryland Extension service holds the Certified Master Gardener training here annually. Children from the county are bussed in each fall for "Close Encounters with Agriculture" where they learn about environmental stewardship and nutrition. A demonstration garden, a Dahlia garden and a historically significant African American settlement are all within walking distance if each other. Scouts can visit the gardens and earn badges. No food or drink concessions or picnic area. Small...

We had the pleasure of being greeted by Mary Ann during our visit to the park, and she truly made the experience special. From the moment we met, her warmth and enthusiasm were evident. What a great place to take the kids! My son loves going there with so much room to run around and so many TRACTORS! He loves tractors and has sat on every one of them at the farm. There are also chickens, goats and pigs on site, a huge field of corn, and outbuildings to explore. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. There is enough room to safely socially distance too, and lots of shade and picnic tables.

This is one of the most beautiful --least trafficked areas to explore the outdoors. Great place to take the dog on a hike or to sit and read on one of the nicely placed benches. Park staff are friendly and great stewards of this place.
