Bordeleau Wine has matured into delicious award winning wines. Known for their bold, robust reds, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot each have double gold medals, the Petit Verdot, gold medal and most recently the moscato achieved gold medal status. Tom is a master at his craft and Lisa is ever present in the tasting room. The winery is a beautiful as well as fun environment to visit. You can find great music there twice a month as well as other fun events. Bring a picnic or snacks and enjoy the beautiful view of the Wicomico Creek or the warm atmosphere of the tasting room. It is a relaxed, unique environment with manicured grounds where all fruits are grown and harvested; enjoy a corn hole game, or the fire-pits? They even have wine slushies~yum! Great way to enjoy an afternoon, rain or shine, whether it is a Wednesday or a weekend! Never a bad day to drink wine at Bordeleau Winery. Definitely one of my happy places! Read moreMy friend and I went down for Ladies Night, which included other small local businesses on site for the evening. Those vendors were great, with a variety of goods from gift baskets for kitchen wizards to CBD lotion. After browsing and buying a few things, we sat down to try two wine flights. All the sweet wines were good, and I bought bottles for me and for gifts. Turns out tasting the red wines second was a rookie mistake that we will correct next time. I got a bottle of the most popular wine from that flight as a gift, as well as some stoppers for the open bottles and a great t-shirt. Before we left, we sat in the bar area for a snack. The charcuterie board had a good mix and was the perfect amount to share. The rooms are spacious, well lit, and were warm despite the constantly opening doors. It was dark, but the area is beautiful. They're right on the river, and lots of homes had holiday lights and...
Read moreI am offering a 2 star review because the grounds were absolutely beautiful, and I am sure that I would have enjoyed my visit in the summer. Customer service was subpar. When we walked in we were not acknowledged by anyone and there was no one standing at their reception desk. My girlfriend who will probably always look like my daughter was refused service although she had a state issued ID card That part was actually ok, in the spirit experiencing local wines, I patronized Bordeleau and bought wines, one of which was their "Award winning Moscato." 2 glasses later, my guts bubbled and felt like I had cement in them. 2 Tums and about 2 hours later I came out of the paralytic state of nausea I felt with a loud, obnoxious belch and broke wind the length of a commercial segment. Thanks but no thanks Bordeleau, but credit for you...
