It's a nice little park for kids, and a great area with tables for parties, with tennis courts and basketball courts. Further in the park is a baseball/softball field plus a soccer field with a small hiking area and a paved trail all around the soccer and baseball field. Overall it is a nice park to take a walk and the good thing is it connects to a trail alongside the ICC that takes you all the way into Olney.
I remember I used to bring my son here all the time to play in the park with another friend he still has. The second area is also spacious and can accommodate young children, but is focused towards children up to their pre-teen years. It still feels comfortable running or walking because three quarters of the path around that portion of it has overhanging trees that supplie shade from the sun. With a little breeze it is easy to forget that the temperature may be in the mid eighties.
